Star Wars: Episode VII begins filming January 21, 2014.
Disney casting directors are searching for two young actors to play lead roles in the Walt Disney Pictures/Lucasfilm “Star Wars: Episode VII”. Six casting director meet-and-greet sessions have been scheduled across the United States and United Kingdom to scout talent for two lead roles, one young female and on young male. In addition to the in-person casting director meet-and-greet sessions, audition video submissions are being accepted at the only official casting webpage that has been set up by Disney Casting director Maryellen Aviano.
Lucasfilm, an owned subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company, in association with Bad Robot Productions, Genre Films, and Kasdan Pictures are in pre-production on the highly anticipated epic feature film “Star Wars: Episode VII”. Despite the recent change in writers, shooting will still commence on January 21, 2014. Casting calls have been issued and auditions are taking place for starring and co-starring roles. The primary filming locations will be at Pinewood Studios in the UK, with additional shooting in New Mexico, and in Los Angeles. J.J. Abrams has constructed production facilities at his Bad Robot Santa Monica headquarters specifically for Star Wars: Episode VII. The extras will be cast throughout production in London and New Mexico. Film crew resumes can be submitted via email to the production office.

With the announcement that Academy Award nominee Josh Brolin is in negotiations for a lead role in “Jurassic World”, casting is now officially in high gear. Ebb Tide Films and Amblin Entertainment are in pre-production on the fourth installment of the Universal Pictures extremely popular and successful science fiction adventure Jurassic Park film series. Current casting is taking place in Los Angeles, however there will be additional casting in the filming locations of Baton Rouge, LA and also in Hawaii. Interior shots will be filmed in sound stages at Raleigh Studios in Baton Rouge, while exterior filming will take place on the island of Kauai in Hawaii.

Imagine Entertainment and Teakwood Lane Productions are currently in pre-production on the new 20th Century Fox TV series “24: Live Another Day”, which is a 12-episode run based on the mega-hit Fox network and worldwide syndicated political spy action thriller series “24″ which spanned 192 episodes over eight seasons, and pulled in countless awards including 68 Emmy nominations, with 20 wins. The casting directors for “24: Live Another Day” are auditioning actors for lead roles, supporting roles, and recurring roles in Los Angeles. The show will be set in London, UK and will be filmed there for this limited first-run season. The extras will be cast in London.

Di Novi Pictures and Zigtag Films are ready to begin shooting the Warner Bros. Pictures comedy feature film “Focus”, and the extras casting director has begun sending out casting calls for local New Orleans people who would like to work as fully paid general extras and possible featured background actors. Filming will begin mid-September and run through November, 2013. Principal actor casting has been taking place in New York City, and continues for day player speaking roles. Additional filming will take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina after New Orleans shooting wraps.
Duncan Jones has been brought on board to direct “Warcraft”.
Atlas Entertainment and Legendary Pictures in association with Blizzard Entertainment and Liberty Films are in pre-production on the Warner Bros. Pictures epic fantasy adventure feature film “Warcraft”, which is now scheduled to begin shooting in Vancouver on January 13, 2014. This film is based on the franchise of video games and novels by Blizzard Entertainment. The twelve-time Casting Society of America Artios Award nominated casting director for the film will begin auditioning talent for lead roles, and subsequently supporting roles. The extras for the movie will be cast throughout production in Vancouver.
Mike Mitchell will direct the live-action scenes for “SpongeBob SquarePants 2″.
The little yellow fella that nearly everyone in America and beyond seems to love is back! Nickelodeon Movies and Paramount Animation are in pre-production on the live-action/animated feature film “SpongeBob SquarePants 2″. The casting director has sent out casting calls for principal actor roles in Los Angeles, New York, as well as in Savannah, Georgia where shooting on the live-action scenes will take place from September 30, 2013 through November 5, 2013. Locations include sound stages in Savannah, locations in the downtown area, and on Tybee Island. Many extras will also be cast for a beach scene in Savannah.

Fifth Mate Productions and Jerry Bruckheimer Films are now in pre-production on the Walt Disney Pictures fantasy adventure comedy feature film “Pirates of the Caribbean 5″. The Casting Society of America Artios Award winning casting director is set to begin holding auditions for lead and supporting roles. Shooting will take place in Louisiana, Los Angeles, and Hawaii among other locations beginning January 27, 2013 and will continue through July 3, 2014. “Pirates of the Caribbean 5″ is scheduled to hit theaters on July 10, 2015.

Imagine Television and Fox 21 will begin production on August 28, 2013 on a brand new A&E Television Networks crime-drama series titled “Those Who Kill”, inspired by the books of Danish writer and journalist Elsebeth Egholm. Email submissions are now being accepted by the local extras casting director in Pittsburgh, PA where shooting on the series will take place from August 28 through December 6, 2013. In addition to the extras, stand-ins, and photo doubles, the principal actor casting directors in Los Angeles and New York are holding auditions for series regulars, recurring roles, guest starring roles, and day players.

The Primetime Emmy Award nominated casting director is holding auditions in Los Angeles for lead roles, supporting roles, and day players. The photo-doubles and stand-ins for the principal actors, as well as general extras and featured background actors will be cast throughout production. Shooting will take place in Los Angeles and Missouri from mid-October, 2013 through February, 2014.
