CBS Films in association with Vertigo Entertainment and Ozla Pictures are set begin principal photography on the supernatural thriller film “Flight 7500”. The casting directors are auditioning actors for supporting and day player roles, and the extras are being cast throughout filming. There will be many featured background actor roles for airport personnel and passengers, as well as passengers on the plane that the film takes place in. Shooting will take place in Los Angeles beginning October 31, 2011.
A brand new reality show pilot is currently accepting submissions from moms who have a male or female child that is an aspiring actor. The show will center on the mother and child, giving the participants an amazing opportunity for exposure and guidance to help the child become a successful film, television, or commercial actor. The age range for the child is 7 – 14 years old, and the mother must be fully engaged and completely supportive of their child’s dream of becoming a successful actor. Moms should be approximately mis-20’s to mid-40’s. Any ethnicity can submit.
Foster Entertainment and So This Is Christmas, LLC productions is currently filming the Indie feature film “So This is Christmas” in the city of Tulsa, Oklahoma and its surrounding areas. The film has cast some of the lead actors in Los Angeles, and some leads and supporting roles in Oklahoma. The extras are being cast in Oklahoma.
A brand new music-driven pilot titled “Zombies & Cheerleaders” has been ordered by Disney Channel, and the casting directors are looking at talent nationwide for the starring roles in the show. Non Los Angeles actors are submitting video auditions, and many roles are high school student age, however some roles are as young as 7 and as old as 40’s. Numerous actors and extras to portray students, parents, and faculty will also be hired. Shooting starts in December at the Los Angeles Center Studios, will take a holiday season break, and continue in January, 2012.
It’s a Laugh Productions is currently in pre-production on a new series pilot for Disney XD called “Crash And Bernstein”. The casting director is casting the series regulars, guest stars, and day players. The extras, photo-doubles, and stand-ins will be hired soon after the principal actors are cast. Many kids and teens will be cast. “Crash And Bernstein” is a multicamera comedy and shooting will take place in Los Angeles this Fall, 2011.
Universal Media Studios and Hazy Mills Productions are shooting a new fantasy crime drama series titled “Grimm” in the Portland, Oregon area. The local casting director is holding an open casting call for Portland area talent 18 and older, males and females, who can pass for late teens in an upcoming episode. Actors who are not chosen for this particular episode may be kept on file for future episodes, as the casting directors is expanding her roster of the over-18 to play younger category.
Di Bonaventura Pictures and Lionsgate are now in production on the feature film “Last Stand” starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. The extras casting director in the Albuquerque area is seeking male and female military and police types, preferably with weapons handling experience, firefighters and EMT’s, and general background extras will also be needed, as well as stand-ins and photo doubles for the film’s stars.
The Zoo Productions Disney Channel hit hidden camerareality series “PrankStars” is in production and the show’s casting department is seeking boys and girls between the ages of 8-16, who are huge fans of a Disney Channel star. If selected to appear on the show, the unsuspecting tweens and teens come face to face with their favorite celebrities in unpredictable and humorous situations. Extras are also being cast to be a part of the pranks.
