The Millennium Films action thriller feature film “Homefront” is in production in Louisiana, and casting for day player speaking roles and extras will be ongoing through November 21, 2012. The movie, written and produced by Sylvester Stallone, is based on author Chuck Logan‘s crime drama series of novels featuring the character Phil Broker. Filming is taking place in New Orleans, the Westbank suburban area of New Orleans, Thibodaux, among other locations in Louisiana. All types and ages of people are needed to work as background performers, both union and non-union.
Auditions are underway for a brand new Disney Channel series pilot titled “Kirby Gates”. The single camera comedy will combine live-action and animation. Kids and teens from 12 – 17 years of age are being cast as series regulars, as well as adults for possible recurring roles should the series be picked up. The Warner Bros. Picturessupernatural drama feature film “Winter’s Tale” is set to begin filming on October 29, 2012 in New York. Principal actor casting is taking place in New York, as well as all extra casting. The film is based on the bestselling 1983 novel of the same name by Mark Helprin. It is a fantasy story set in 19th Century and present-day Manhattan that revolves around a thief, a dying girl, and a flying white horse. The film originally had a $75 million budget, however the studio dropped the budget to $46 million. Shooting runs from October 29, 2012 through January 30, 2013.
The HBO Films semi-improvised comedy movie “Clear History” is in production and casting for the film’s extras will be ongoing throughout the shoot which will continue through early November, 2012. The casting director in Boston is seeking children and teen extras, as well as adults. They are also casting teens and adults who are great water skiers. These are fully paid positions, and no prior experience working as a background performer is necessary. Filming is taking place in the North Shore region of Massachusetts.
The independent feature film “Something Whispered” is filming around the New Haven, Connecticut area and Northeastern Connecticut from late September to mid-November, 2012. The Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures action Western film “Lone Ranger” is now filming in the Los Angeles area, after completing principal photography in New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah. The extras casting director is seeking Mexican and Native American Women, Children, and elderly Men to work on the film as fully paid featured background performers. The scenes to be filmed will recreate an 1800’s Comanche village. The exact shooting dates have not been determined yet, but are highly likely to be in mid-late September, 2012.
The major thriller espionage feature film “A Most Wanted Man – Marionette” is set to begin shooting on September 19th in Hamburg, Germany. The production is casting local actors and numerous extras to work on the film, which is based on the novel “A Most Wanted Man” by British author John le Carré. The novel is loosely based on the true War on Terror story of Murat Kurnaz. Especially needed by the extras casting director is a large group of male Turks and Arabs. However, many different types and ages, any ethnicity, will be needed throughout filming which will run from September 19th through November 23, 2012. Casting for the film’s lead and supporting roles have taken place in London and Berlin.

Award winning Americanindie film screenwriter and director Kelly Reichardt is gearing up to start shooting the thriller film “Night Moves” on October 16, 2012 in Southern Oregon. Casting directors in New York and Los Angeles are auditioning actors for supporting roles, featured roles, and day players. Extras, photo-doubles, and stand-ins will be hired in Oregon during filming, in addition to some speaking roles. There are roles for children, teens, and adults. “Night Moves” will be released in theaters sometime in 2013.
Film 44 in association with Weed Road Pictures and Spikings Entertainment are in production on the major feature film “Lone Survivor” based on true events of Operation Red Wings, a joint military operation that took place in the Pech District of Afghanistan’s Kunar Province in Late June through Mid-July 2005. There will be an open casting call in New Mexico for men, women, and children who are interested in working as fully paid extras on the film. Shooting starts on September 18, 2012 in the Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico areas and will continue through mid-November. Over 1,400 extras in New Mexico will be used in the film, in addition to several dozen local actors.
