Disney XD has given the green light to begin production on a brand new half-hour comedy series pilot titled “Neckpee Island”. The casting directors have now sent out casting calls for series regulars and guest starring roles, for both child roles between 12-14 years old, and for adults of various ages. The extras will be cast throughout production, which will begin in mid-October, 2013. There will be a fairly large amount of kids cast as extras to play middle school students. Shooting will take place in Los Angeles.
Reese Witherspoon’s production company Pacific Standard and New Regency are in pre-production on the 20th Century Fox thriller feature film ‘Gone Girl’ based on the novel of the same name by Gillian Flynn. The Primetime Emmy Award nominated casting director is holding auditions in Los Angeles for lead roles, supporting roles, and day players. The photo-doubles and stand-ins for the principal actors, as well as general extras and featured background actors will be cast throughout production. Shooting will take place in Los Angeles and Missouri from mid-October, 2013 through February, 2014.
Academy Award winning production company Imagine Entertainment and Seine Pictures in association with Exclusive Media are getting set to begin shooting the true-story feature film “Pele” in September, 2013. Casting directors in Los Angeles and New York are conducting an international talent search seeking an actor or soccer player to play the role of the legendary Pele. Filming will take place in Brazil from September 2, 2013 through October 15, 2013. The film’s extras will be hired locally in Brazil.
HBO epic fantasy television drama series “Game of Thrones” was picked
up for a fourth ten-episode season on April 2, 2013 and casting is now
underway. The Primetime Emmy Award winning casting director is holding
auditions for recurring, co-starring, guest-starring, and day player
roles. In addition to the principal actors, the extras will also be cast
on an ongoing basis throughout season four beginning in July, 2013.
Shooting on this season’s episodes will take place primarily in Northern
Ireland, however additional filming will take place in other locales.
It’s a Laugh Productions is now in production on the second season of the hit comedy series “Dog with a Blog” and the Disney casting director for the show is auditioning talent for guest starring, recurring, and day player roles. Extras are being hired throughout the season. The multi-camera sitcom premiered on Disney Channel on October 12, 2012 and was renewed for a second season on February 4, 2013. In a highly admirable corporate decision, Disney Channel has been airing Public Service Announcements in conjunction with “Dog with a Blog” educating kids on responsible pet adoption and encouraging kindness to animals.
Gerber Pictures in association with Storyopolisis is in pre-production on the true-story survival drama feature film “Crazy for the Storm” for Warner Bros. Pictures. The movie centers on eleven-year-old Norman Ollestad, who survived a plane crash which left him stranded on an icy mountaintop by using the skills his father instilled in him. The film’s Primetime Emmy Award nominated casting director is conducting a national talent search for a 9-11 year old boy to play the lead role. The movie is based on Ollestad’s novel “Crazy for the Storm: A Memoir of Survival“. Shooting will take place in Los Angeles starting April, 2013.

FOX Searchlight Pictures in association with Artists Public Domain will begin production on the futuristic sci-fi drama feature film “iOrigins” in January, 2013. The shooting locations will be in Los Angeles and in the country of India. The casting directors based in New York City are conducting a national talent search for a girl who can play a 10 year old to star in the film. They are seeking a girl of “Indian descent, a beautiful wild child”. The character speaks English not so well and doesn’t have the American mannerisms that a 10 year old who went to schools in the states would have. Interested talent can submit an audition video to be considered.
