Imagine Entertainment and Teakwood Lane Productions are currently in pre-production on the new 20th Century Fox TV series “24: Live Another Day”, which is a 12-episode run based on the mega-hit Fox network and worldwide syndicated political spy action thriller series “24” which spanned 192 episodes over eight seasons, and pulled in countless awards including 68 Emmy nominations, with 20 wins. The casting directors for “24: Live Another Day” are auditioning actors for lead roles, supporting roles, and recurring roles in Los Angeles. The show will be set in London, UK and will be filmed there for this limited first-run season. The extras will be cast in London.
Disney XD has given the green light to begin production on a brand new half-hour comedy series pilot titled “Neckpee Island”. Imagine Television and Fox 21 will begin production on August 28, 2013 on a brand new A&E Television Networks crime-drama series titled “Those Who Kill”, inspired by the books of Danish writer and journalist Elsebeth Egholm. Academy Award winning production company Imagine Entertainment and Seine Pictures in association with Exclusive Media are getting set to begin shooting the true-story feature film “Pele” in September, 2013. Casting directors in Los Angeles and New York are conducting an international talent search seeking an actor or soccer player to play the role of the legendary Pele. Filming will take place in Brazil from September 2, 2013 through October 15, 2013. The film’s extras will be hired locally in Brazil.
It’s a Laugh Productions is now in production on the second season of the hit comedy series “Dog with a Blog” and the Disney casting director for the show is auditioning talent for guest starring, recurring, and day player roles. Extras are being hired throughout the season. The multi-camera sitcom premiered on Disney Channel on October 12, 2012 and was renewed for a second season on February 4, 2013. In a highly admirable corporate decision, Disney Channel has been airing Public Service Announcements in conjunction with “Dog with a Blog” educating kids on responsible pet adoption and encouraging kindness to animals.
21 Laps Entertainment and The Jim Henson Company are now in the pre-production stage on the upcoming live-action Disney feature film “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” which is based on the children’s book by Judith Viorst. Disney casting executives are conducting a widespread talent search for a boy age 10-12 to play the lead role of Alexander Conners. Both SAG-AFTRA talent and non-union talent can submit via uploading an audition video to the official Disney casting authorized website for this film. Shooting will take place from August through October, 2013 in Los Angeles.
Roth Films/Real Heaven, Inc. in association with Wheelhouse Entertainment are in pre-production on the Sony Pictures true-story feature film “Heaven is for Real” based on the New York Times best-selling book written by Todd Burpo and Lynn Vincent. The book has over 7 million copies in print, and has sold over 1 million eBooks. Casting directors across the United States and Canada are conducting a massive talent search for a 6-8 year old boy to play the role of Colton Burpo. They are considering new talent with no experience or training required. Filming will take place this summer in Canada, so as not to interfere with schooling.
