NBC Universal is holding an open casting call for the upcoming three-hour live staging and telecast of the Rodgers & Hammerstein musical “The Sound of Music”. The casting call is for boys and girls who can play roles between the ages of 6-14. The characters being cast are the seven Von Trapp Children. NBC will air the live broadcast on December 5, 2013. The casting team is seeking kids who are very good dancers with excellent acting skills.
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios in association with Columbia Pictures and Strike Entertainment are in pre-production on the reboot of the 1987 Orion Pictures science fiction action film “RoboCop”. Casting for the film’s lead roles has been taking place in Los Angeles, and additional casting for supporting and day player roles are being cast in Toronto, Canada where filming is set to begin on September 5, 2012. All of the extras will be hired in Ontario throughout production which is scheduled to continue through January 11, 2013.
Lakeshore Entertainment and Summit Entertainment are in production on the upcoming feature film “Gone”, and the extras casting director is looking for real sisters with blonde hair who are 4 and 2 years old. They are also open to seeing relatives, good friends, etc as long as the girls are the right age and are very comfortable with each other.
