The hit Lifetime Television series “Drop Dead Diva” has been officially brought back to life for a fifth season after being cancelled on January 15, 2013. There was a tremendous outcry from the show‘s fans, and showrunner Josh Berman credits the fans for the return of the comedy-drama television series. Lifetime signed a deal on March 1, 2013 with Sony Pictures Television that made the show economically viable not only for Season 5 but for seasons beyond. Now the casting director has scheduled open casting calls for talent in the metro Atlanta area to appear on the show as general background performers. Principal actor casting is also getting underway.
“Prisoners” is scheduled to hit theaters September 20, 2013.

Alcon Entertainment in association with 8:38 Productions and Madhouse Entertainment are currently in pre-production on the crime thriller feature film “Prisoners” for Warner Bros. Pictures. Filming will begin in January, 2013 in Conyers, GA which is twenty four miles east of Atlanta. The local casting director is holding an open casting call seeking men and women of any ethnicity, ages 18 and over, with or without experience working as a movie extra. There are also some speaking roles being cast locally. The film is scheduled to be released on September 20, 2013.
The Twentieth Century Fox comedy feature film “The Internship” is currently in production and the extras casting director in Atlanta, GA is seeking men and women, 18 years of age and older, all types, any ethnicity to work as background extras on the film. Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson star as two middle aged men who lose their salesmen jobs and find themselves trying to learn new-world skills by working as interns at Google amongst their much younger counterparts. Filming will take place through the end of September, 2012.
The feature film “What To Expect When You’re Expecting” is filming in Atlanta, GA from July 25 through September 29, 2011 and the casting director is holding an open casting call for babies, toddlers, children, and pregnant women in the greater Atlanta area to appear in the film as exras, stand-ins, and photo doubles. Some small speaking roles are also being cast.
The Executive Director of Casting at 20th Century Fox in Los Angeles, Brehan Fitzgerald, is currently casting Russian speaking men of all ages between 20 – 60 years for the feature film “X-Men: First Class”. In addition, the extras casting director in Atlanta is casting all types and ages of extras, photo doubles, and stand-ins. This is for the Atlanta, GA portion of filming in December, 2010.
