Flying Car Films, Bad Robot Productions and Warner. Bros Television have been given a series order by FOX for the new sci-fi drama television series “Almost Human. The series takes place 35 years into the future when humans in the LAPD are each teamed up with realistic androids, and a detective who has a distaste for robots ends up being teamed up with one that has human-like emotions. Music producer/manager David Caplice has entered into a creative joint venture with Warner Music Australia to scout and develop exciting new pop talent for the world stage. Shooting will take place in Charlotte, NC starting on March 11, 2013. The show’s background performers are being cast by the Charlotte extras casting director. Television crew members and production staff are also being hired locally in North Carolina.
The Gotham Group is now in pre-production on the first film in a major science fiction feature film trilogy “The Maze Runner” for Twentieth Century Fox. The movie is based on the first book in a young-adult dystopian science fiction trilogy of the same name by James Dashner. The film’s Primetime Emmy Award nominated casting director is holding auditions for the starring roles, which consists of a group of teen boys and a teen female. All types and ethnicities are being encouraged to submit. Rehearsals begin in mid-April, and shooting starts on May 1, 2013 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Television are getting set to begin production on a new science fiction television series pilot ‘The Tomorrow People’ for CW Television Network.
