Gerber Pictures is now in pre-production on the Warner Bros. Pictures true-story action survival feature film “Crazy For The Storm” based on the bestselling novel “Crazy For The Storm: A Memoir Of Survival” by Norman Ollestad. A massive talent search has been taking place since February, 2013 for a boy who can play 11 year-old Norman Ollestad. The talent search included online video submissions accepted through Cast It Talent. However, the right boy was not discovered and new casting director information is now available.

Casting directors for the upcoming feature film “Sweet Cheeks” are holding an open casting call seeking children available to work on the film in the Austin, Texas area. They will be casting two boys with great imaginations and natural wit for the lead roles in the movie. The boys should be extroverted kids who are full of ideas, comfortable around new people and environments, and who like hearing, telling, or creating stories. Kids with interesting faces and timeless, non-modern looks similar to those in “The Little Rascals” are especially encouraged to attend the open call or submit by email. Paramount Pictures subsidiary Nickelodeon Movies in association with Platinum Dunes and Mednick Productions are getting ready to begin production on the live-action feature film “Ninja Turtles,” based on the legendary comic book series by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. Casting directors are holding auditions for starring, co-starring, and supporting roles. The extras casting director will be hiring featured and general background performers throughout filming, which is taking place from April 13 through July 31, 2013. Shooting will be at the largest and most sophisticated studio complex outside of Hollywood, Steiner Studios in Brooklyn. Additional principal photography will take place at various locations in New York City and surrounding areas.

It’s a Laugh Productions and Disney Channel are set to begin production on a brand new comedy series called “Dog with a Blog”. Disney Channel, the leading TV network for kids and families, ordered the first season after the pilot episode was shot earlier this year. The casting director is now holding auditions for guest starring, recurring, and day player roles. Extras will be hired beginning on June 13, 2012 when the live-action multicamera series begins shooting at Hollywood Center Studios.

These are for two lead roles and one supporting role to star opposite Academy Award winner Kate Winslet and Academy Award nominated Josh Brolin.
