Ryan Murphy Productions is gearing up to begin shooting season five of the smash hit Fox series “Glee”, and the casting directors have sent out the first casting calls. They are auditioning talent for four new recurring roles, one male and three females. Extras for the series will be cast starting late July and will continue to be hired on an ongoing basis for the 22-episode season. The show was picked up for season five and six on April 19, 2013 for a total of 44 additional new episodes. Shooting will begin on Monday July 29th and will continue through early 2014. The show is a single-camera setup that films at Paramount Studios in Hollywood, California.

The boutique motion picture production company Serendipity Point Films is in pre-production on the horror-musical feature filmStage Fright“, which is being described as Glee meets Scream. The film will feature lot’s of singing and dancing kids and teens, as the story takes place at a musical theatre camp. An open casting call is being held for dancers from the ages of 8 through 16 (or appear to be in that age range) to perform for the film’s choreographer. In addition, many background performers of the same age range are being cast, although not at this open call. Background must email their photo and contact information in to the extras casting directors.

FOX hit musical comedy-drama ‘Glee’ casting new regulars for season four

The smash hit musical comedy-drama television series “Glee” is casting new series regulars to make up the new high school glee club for the show’s fourth season. Filming is scheduled to start in late July, however rehearsals will possibly begin in early July. The show’s extras will be cast closer to the start of shooting in July. “Glee” is filmed at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles utilizing a single-camera setup. Season 4 of “Glee” will launch on a new night and time on Thursday September 13, 2012 at 9:00-10:00pm ET/PT.

The hit FX Network Golden Globe Nominated horror-drama series American Horror Story has been renewed for a second season and the show is now casting extras in Los Angeles. The show’s format is anthology based, whereas the story, characters, and location for each season is different. The show’s guest stars and extras will be cast throughout the season, which begins shooting July, 2012. The second season of “American Horror Story” will take place in a 1960’s East Coast asylum for the criminally insane, although filming will take place in Los Angeles.

Although Oxygen Media has not made an official announcement that “The Glee Project” has been picked up for a second season, the hugely popular reality show has announced open casting call cities and begins accepting online video auditions. The reason Oxygen has not officially stated that “The Glee Project” has the green light for season two, is because the series “Glee” has not officially been picked up for a season 4. It is widely accepted that “Glee” will be given a pick up for a fourth season.

Lythgoe Family Productions has announced open auditions for “A Snow White Christmas”, with Radio Disney covering the event and celebrity judges participating. The production’s casting directors are searching for 14 Child Performers (2 casts) to play the 7 Dwarfs and other dancing ensemble members. Must be between the ages of 6 – 16 years. Strong dancing, great physicality/acting for interpreting the Dwarf roles, and singing is a major plus!
