Disney casting directors are searching for two young actors to play lead roles in the Walt Disney Pictures/Lucasfilm “Star Wars: Episode VII”. Six casting director meet-and-greet sessions have been scheduled across the United States and United Kingdom to scout talent for two lead roles, one young female and on young male. In addition to the in-person casting director meet-and-greet sessions, audition video submissions are being accepted at the only official casting webpage that has been set up by Disney Casting director Maryellen Aviano.
“Anchorman: The Legend Continues” is scheduled to hit theaters on December 20, 2013.

Apatow Productions and Gary Sanchez Productions are in production on the feature film sequel “Anchorman: The Legend Continues” for Paramount Pictures. The extras casting directors in Atlanta, GA are seeking local people who have floor-length gowns and tuxedos or very nice black suits to work on April 25, 2013. Female talent must also either have a 1970s style haircut or be able to style their hair in a 70s manner. For this formal event scene, the casting directors only want people who have not previously worked on the film. Note: “Anchorman 2” aka “Anchorman: The Legend Continues” is going by the working title “Teaching Manheim”.
Liam Hemsworth’s last film before shooting commences on “Catching Fire” is now casting for lead roles. The film is titled “Paranoia” and also stars Academy Award nominated actors Harrison Ford and Gary Oldman. It is being described as a corporate espionage thriller that follows a war between rival telecom companies. Auditions are taking place in Los Angeles and New York. The extras, stand-ins, and photo doubles will be hired in the filming locations of Philadelphia and New York.
Legendary Pictures is in pre-production on the major feature film “42” starring Harrison Ford. The casting directors are holding open casting calls for people in Alabama and Tennessee who would like to work as extras on the film. Additional extras casting will take place in Atlanta and Macon, Georgia. The movie will be filmed in Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee beginning in May, 2012. Shooting locations include Chattanooga’s Engel Stadium and Luther Williams Field in Macon, GA. Extras of all ages will be used in the film, however the open calls are for extras 18 years of age and older.
Summit Entertainment, the production company behind “The Twilight Saga” films, has acquired the rights to the youth-oriented “Ender’s Game” franchise. An open casting call has been scheduled seeking bright and talented kids and teens ages 10 – 17 of varying ethnic backgrounds. Talent must be located within reasonable driving distance of New Orleans, LA. The shoot is scheduled to run from February 2, 2012 through June 8, 2012. The casting directors are especially interested in home-schooled kids and teens due to the filming schedule during school hours. An on-set teacher is required to be provided by the production company for all minors, therefore it is not absolutely necessary to be home-schooled. Those who are selected will have the adventure of a lifetime and become part of science fiction cinema history!
