Dead Fish Films and Parlay Pictures are in pre-production on the true story baseball themed independent feature film “Undrafted” starring Chace Crawford. The project is a talent-laden production from top to bottom. The film’s casting directors are accepting audition videos from Los Angeles based talent for starring roles in the film. Both SAG-AFTRA and non-union talent are welcome to submit. An official “Undrafted” casting website has been set up for actors to download the audition sides and then upload a homemade video for consideration.
Tulip Road Productions and Cue The Dog Productions are in pre-production on the Lifetime Movie Network psychological thriller movie “Flowers In The Attic” based on the extremely popular 1979 novel by Virginia Andrews, which has sold over 40 million copies to date. Casting directors in Los Angeles are holding auditions for starring, co-starring, and day player roles. Roles being cast include the four Dollanganger children, and the production would prefer to hire actors who are over 18 years of age, but that can play younger for the teen roles. The extras are being cast throughout production, which will take place in Vancouver from August 12, 2013 through September 14, 2013.
Matt Tolmach Productions and Circle of Confusion are getting ready to begin production on the Sony Pictures comedy feature film “The Kitchen Sink” and casting directors are holding auditions for starring, co-starring, supporting, and day-player roles. The stand-ins and photo-doubles for the principal actors, as well as general extras and featured background actors are also now being cast. Shooting will take place in Los Angeles beginning on August 5, 2013 and will continue through September 15, 2013. “The Kitchen Sink” will hit theaters on October 17, 2014.
Arclight Pictures and Stoney Lake Entertainment are set to begin shooting on the upcoming epic action sci-fi thriller feature film “Left Behind” based on the best-selling novel “Left Behind: A Novel of the Earth’s Last Days” by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins. Casting is now underway in Los Angeles for the film’s starring and co-starring roles. Additional principal actor roles will be cast in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where shooting will take place beginning on August 5, 2013. The stand-ins and photo-doubles for the film’s stars, as well as extras and featured background actors, will also be cast in Baton Rouge.
Academy Award winning production company Imagine Entertainment and Seine Pictures in association with Exclusive Media are getting set to begin shooting the true-story feature film “Pele” in September, 2013. Casting directors in Los Angeles and New York are conducting an international talent search seeking an actor or soccer player to play the role of the legendary Pele. Filming will take place in Brazil from September 2, 2013 through October 15, 2013. The film’s extras will be hired locally in Brazil.
Di Bonaventura Pictures and DreamWorks SKG in association with Hasbro are filming the Paramount Pictures science fiction action film “Transformers 4”, and the casting director has scheduled open casting calls in Chicago for people interested in working on the film as fully paid general extras and possible featured background actors. The open casting calls are for people over 18 years of age, however parents/legal guardians can bring photos on their children for submission. Chicago filming will take place from August 18, 2013 through September 27, 2013.

ABC has launched the first ever digital talent outreach contest in the United States, where actors and comedians can submit a video of their acting or stand-up comedy performance for a chance to be seen by ABC Casting executives. The contest is called “ABC Make Me a Star,” and will consist of two components. One is a private competition where ABC will select the winner, and the other will be a publicly voted competition where the public votes for the winner out of ten finalists chosen by ABC.

This project is currently being referred to as “Untitled Transformers Sequel,” and will the first feature film to be shot using smaller digital IMAX 3D cameras.
Casting directors for the upcoming feature film “Sweet Cheeks” are holding an open casting call seeking children available to work on the film in the Austin, Texas area. They will be casting two boys with great imaginations and natural wit for the lead roles in the movie. The boys should be extroverted kids who are full of ideas, comfortable around new people and environments, and who like hearing, telling, or creating stories. Roth Films in association with Mayhem Pictures is getting ready to start production on the Walt Disney Pictures true-story live-action feature film “Million Dollar Arm,” about a sports agent who discovered baseball pitchers amongst cricket players in India by staging a reality show to discover new talent. The Primetime Emmy award winning Disney casting veteran has issued a nationwide casting call for lead roles in the film. Also being cast are supporting, and smaller speaking roles. Filming gets underway May 6, 2013 and will take place in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and in India.
