The hit Teen Choice Awards nominated CBSreality series “Big Brother 14” is currently holding open casting calls and accepting online applications. This is the first season with the new application process. In addition to casting for the new Houseguests, extras will be cast throughout the season from July through mid to late September, 2012. The extras are audience members in the studio when evicted guests are interviewed by Julie Chen. Applicants must be 21 years of age or older, and be a United States Citizen to apply. Big Brother 13 posted its largest audience and highest adults 18-49 rating since 2004.
Golden Globe Award nominee Reba McEntire, who is is the best-selling female country artist of all time, is set to star in her second television series, ABC‘s upcoming multi-camera half-hour sitcom “Malibu Country”. Casting directors in Los Angeles and New York are auditioning actors for series regular and recurring roles. Shooting will take place in Los Angeles, where the show’s extras will be cast.
The hit series “Army Wives” has been given a 23-episode sixth season order and casting for the show’s guest stars are being cast out of New York, and additional principal actor casting is being done in South Carolina where shooting takes place. There is also an open casting call scheduled for extras – specifically seeking African-American men between the ages of 13 and 25, who weigh 190 pounds or less, and kids/teens of any ethnicity 3-17 years of age.
The Zoo Productions Disney Channel hit hidden camerareality series “PrankStars” is in production and the show’s casting department is seeking boys and girls between the ages of 8-16, who are huge fans of a Disney Channel star. If selected to appear on the show, the unsuspecting tweens and teens come face to face with their favorite celebrities in unpredictable and humorous situations. Extras are also being cast to be a part of the pranks.
